As someone who weirs pure linen every chance I get from head to toe, I would like to discuss the 7 things I that make pure linen a hassle.
1 No Dryer, unfortunately you can’t put anything in the dryer without shrinking it.
2 Because of no dryer, you end up with a lot of wrinkles on your clothes.
3 As efficient as linen is to keep you cool in the heat it is equally inefficient at keeping you warm in the cold.
4 Unfortunately 100% pure linen is expensive and harder to find.
5 You can Iron out the wrinkles from linen but this is quite time consuming, easier to live with the wrinkles.
6 Linen seems to stain more easily with stains harder to wash out.
7 Linen is made of 100% pure flax with is bug food so you need to keep your linen store safe away from moths.
With all that said, I think the benefits outweigh the hassles and I still find linen worth wearing all the time.
