Why KJV

One reason that I like the King James Version is that newer English versions have to use more and more complex words because the easier words have already been copyrighted. This makes the King James Version the one with the simpler words, making it easier to read.

Sure there are a few archaic words that I sometimes have to look up but I find the old English beautiful.

I have also found it hard to memorize bible verses reading multiple versions of the bible.

The importance of Revelations 13:16

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

In pretty much every version after the King James they changed the word “in” to such things as “on” or “upon”.

When you also consider the word for mark could be referring to sharp pointed needles used in tattooing and that in Aramaic there is no distinction between arm and hand. With taking the mark one of the few ways one can lose his salvation and with some discernment you can see why that could be a big problem.

The King James Bible has lead more people to Christ than any other version due to it being the most printed bible of all times. It it still the most popular bible today.

Here is a very interesting video on the King James Version of the Bible which has very good evidence that this is God’s best bible still today.

Omission of Fasting?

Some modern versions have omitted fasting.

Mark 9:29 KJV

29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Mark 9:29 NIV

29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer“

Matthew 17:21 KJV

21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting

Matthew 17:21 NIV

Removed?

Why would fasting be removed? Here could be some clues:
